Set a clear timeline. If your goal is 10lbs, decide when you want to get there, then work backwards. This allows you to safely set your nutrition, training, and lifestyle changes to match your timeframe. No more guessing or rushing.


  1. Prioritise Sleep

Less than 6 hours of sleep makes you up to 30% more likely to hold onto body fat and crave sugary, fatty foods. Why? Cortisol.
To fix this:

  • Set a bedtime alarm 30 minutes before bed

  • Switch off screens and wind down

  • Stop drinking water an hour before sleep


  1. Move Your Body – Focus on Steps

Instead of punishing workouts, start with walking. Steps are low impact, fit easily into daily life, and help maintain a calorie deficit without overtraining. Track your weekly average and keep it consistent.

Preparation beats willpower every time. Plan your meals, hit your calorie and protein targets, and avoid relying on whatever’s “available” when you’re hungry.


  1. Track Your Progress

Daily weight can fluctuate for reasons that have nothing to do with fat. Instead, focus on:

  • Weekly weight averages

  • Measurements of waist, arms, back, and glutes

  • Progress photos in consistent conditions

  • Tracking your cycle to see patterns


  1. Plan for After the Fat Loss

If you go straight back to old habits, you’ll regain the weight quickly. Reverse diet — gradually increasing calories while maintaining activity to keep your results.
