“After travelling through 5 countries in 7 months, I didn’t just maintain my fitness — I actually felt stronger, leaner, and more at peace in my body than ever before. Here’s how I did it.”
Travel can easily throw us off our routines. New foods, broken sleep, long flights, social temptations — it’s no wonder so many women come home from a trip feeling bloated, sluggish, or like they’ve “undone all their progress.”
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
After 7 months of living and working across the globe — from Bali to Dubai to Australia — I’ve learned how to stay grounded in my body, even with no kitchen, no set routine, and no gym membership.
Here are the 3 pillars I rely on, no matter where I land:
Nutrition Without Obsession I don’t track calories when I travel. Instead, I stick to simple principles:
Prioritise protein at every meal
Start with vegetables or fibre-rich carbs
Watch out for sneaky seed oils
Eat 3 meals a day — no grazing
I also carry things like collagen sachets, bone broth powder, or protein bars — not for “dieting,” but to ensure I’m nourished even in airport terminals.
Movement That Mirrors Real Life I don’t need a gym to train. Walking, mobility, short strength sessions using bodyweight or resistance bands — these keep my nervous system regulated and my body moving with intention.
Even 20 minutes a day changes everything. Movement is a nervous system tool, not just a fat-loss one.
Brain Gym: Regulate Before You React The biggest game-changer? Managing my internal world.
When travel throws up delays, stress, or disruption, I use breathwork, self-check-ins, and reflection tools to anchor myself. I don’t let a bad moment turn into a bad day.
Your body listens to your thoughts. And your horse feels your state. That’s why this matters.
Bonus: Sleep and Hydration Travel messes with both. I travel with magnesium, electrolytes, a lavender roller, and a sleep mask. It’s not about perfection — it’s about giving my body a chance to reset each day.
Takeaway: You don’t need to control everything to stay lean and strong. You just need non-negotiables — nutrition foundations, movement, and nervous system awareness.
You can ride, train, and thrive — anywhere in the world.
